The ParaBeam 400 studio fixture displays about the same amount of soft light as a 2,000Watt tungsten light, respectively.
But the ParaBeam only use 1/10th as much power! Both studio lights take Kino Flo True Match® high colour rendering lamps (CRI 95).
The soft beam actually can be focused for a wide variety of set lighting looks, from lighting four people across a news desk to spotting down to a single subject.
The ParaBeam has distinct advantages over conventional quartz soft lights.
1. Lower amperage draw, energy savings
2. Longer lamp life, lower lamp replacements, lower maintenance labour
3. Lower operating temperature
4. Lower air-conditioning costs
5. More efficient heat management design for stable colour temperature
6. Uses 5500K, 3200K and 2900K, 550nm green and 420nm blue lamps
7. Full spectrum (CRI 95) lamps available in 3 colour temperatures: 2900K, 3200K and 5500K
8. High colour rendering True Match lamps work well alongside conventional quartz lights or HMI’s
9. Dmx control for stable colour temperature and light level control
10. Colour gels do not burn out or fade due to lower heat of fixture
11. Centre mount for horizontal and vertical axis rotation, Yoke and Pole Operation Mount
12. Quick ballast maintenance
13. Honeycomb louvers 90°, 60° and 45° reduce the need for barn doors
